The new Nintendo Dsi is a world full of fun and interaction. You can play with photos, sound, downloads and your library of games. The Dsi come in four brilliant colours to suit everyone’s needs pink, blue, white and black. The Nintendo Dsi Comes with two built in cameras and a microphone. This ad demonstrates the innovative features. The Dsi advertisement is a fun and inventive commercial which gains viewers attention.

The structure, format and layout of this advertisement is very busy, but grabs the viewers attention. The information is displayed by the voice over and the features which are being demonstrated. This makes it more interesting for children as it shows them firsthand the visual and technical features of the new Nintendo Dsi. The advertisement starts off by displaying the logo and trade mark sound, which immediately attracts the children’s attention. It then goes into a boy and a girl displaying the different features which the Dsi consist of. Both female and male voices are used throughout the advertisement, as well as background music. The background in the advertisement changes throughout the ad to demonstrate the various places the Dsi is used such as school, home and outside.

The target audience for this product is children of both genders aged approxmently 9-13 years of age. This is expressed by the bright colours, visual effects, basic language, people featured in the ad and scenes where the advertisement is set. The Dsi is displayed in the front centre of the screen at every scene change, which brings your focus to the product. The advertisement is loud which attracts the viewer’s attention, the voice over of both male and female sets a happy friendly vibe. There is also music playing to help create a happy vibe. Changes to the scene as the advertisement goes on to help it create a happy and fun environment and keeps the viewer from getting board.

At the end of the advertisement the logo is again displayed as well as the website, so that viewers can take action and purchase the product or research the product in more depth, before purchasing the Nintendo Dsi.

I believe this advertisement is highly effective and promotes it product (Nintendo Dsi) as a fun and interactive deceive which can be used anywhere at any time and has brilliant and innovative features.
